What To Expect When You Work With me
Meeting with the IRS can feel intimidating, but getting help shouldn’t. From the moment we sit down, the focus is on you—your story, what’s happened so far, and what “success” really means in your situation.
Together, we’ll review the documents you’ve brought, sort through any IRS notices, and make sure you understand what they actually mean. If something is missing, I’ll help you see exactly what’s needed and why, so there are no surprises later.
Once we know where things stand, I’ll map out the best options for moving forward. That might include addressing missing returns, setting up a payment plan, seeking penalty relief, or exploring other IRS programs that apply to your case. Along the way, I’ll explain timelines, costs, and next steps clearly, so you’ll always know what to expect.
After your appointment, you’ll receive a written summary and a secure checklist of anything still needed. If IRS or state communication is required, I’ll take the lead (with your authorization) and keep you updated as things progress. You’ll also know how to reach me directly for questions, because part of my job is making sure you never feel left in the dark.
If you have any questions before your appointment, don’t hesitate to reach out.
How to Prepare for Your Appointment
Appointments usually run 45–60 minutes. You can meet with me in person at the office, by phone, over Zoom, or through a secure online portal. For in-office visits, please arrive 5-10 minutes early to complete an intake form.

Please bring these items so I can understand where things stand and help you move forward. If you can’t find something, please come anyway. We’ll make a plan to retrieve missing items.

I want you to feel relieved of tax pressure as quickly as possible. Here are some ways you can help make that possible.

Frequently Asked Questions
What if I don’t have my Social Security card?
Come anyway. We’ll advise you on how to request a replacement or provide acceptable alternatives for ID verification.
Do you offer payment plans?
Yes. Both for your fees and for IRS balances where eligible. Bring a valid card so we can set that up smoothly.
Can you really talk to the IRS for me?
Yes. With signed authorization (Form 2848/8821, which we prepare), we’ll communicate directly so you don’t have to.
Is my information secure?
Absolutely. We use secure, encrypted systems for documents and store only what’s required for your case. We never email full SSNs unencrypted.
Do you handle state tax issues too?
Yes. We work with both IRS and state tax agencies.
